We offer three amazing and unique workshops that are one of a kind and will take your artistry to the next level!
Finding your style
stylistic workshop
Finding Your Style is about exploring and embracing the individuality in your writing. Artists will learn to identify their artistic fingerprint. With this workshop, we will discuss what makes your writing unique and how to cultivate your unique voice as a writer. This workshop is curated and led by our amazing volunteer, former slam competitor and spoken word performer, Brook Carter!
Building blocks for writer’s block
foster creativity and find inspiration
Sometimes inspiration can be hard to find. Building Blocks For Writer’s Block teaches how to direct your creativity. This workshop helps artists learn how to make the space around them conducive for productivity. We will explore ways to prevent formulaic creation by challenging artists to keep an open mind when bringing their art to life. This workshop was created by and is led by none other than our creator and co-founder, nationally-ranked slam poet and international performer, Quin Killin’!
Conceptualizing Out of the Box
Learn how to take your concepts to the next level
A Workshop that explores the brain storming aspect of the creation of the poem before its formed. “Conceptualizing out of the Box” goes deeper than just coming up with a topic and creating bomb writing with it. In this workshop, we will explore the layers of depth when writing about subjects, whether it is about trauma, comedy, love, etc., we’ll expound and build the poem beyond the surface! This workshop was created by and is led by none other than our creator and co-founder, nationally-ranked slam poet and international performer, Quin Killin’!
